Mission Trip: Kentucky Changers

Amber and Nicolas left for their Kentucky Changers Mission Trip on Saturday the 5th after much spiritual, physical and emotional preparation. This week, the youth group is headed to a small town in Kentucky that has a large population of individuals living in poverty. As Amber says, they will be building structures and building faith. Our family prays that their energy and efforts are fruitful and safe. More on this when they return....

So Christ has really set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don't get tied up again in slavery to the law.~ Galatians 5:1

Nic's Braces

Nic had his braces put on early this morning (8am!). So, here is the scoop from Nic: He said they didn't hurt that much. They put the brackets on with glue that tastes terrible. Then, they run the wire from through each bracket on each tooth and securely tighten them. Nic was given a large enough amount of wax to use that will keep the wires from tearing his cheek tissue. I'm happy because he is so engaged in making sure he brushes his teeth twice a day and once each evening. He's very conscientious about brushing them. I am making mashed potatoes and green beans specially for him tonight. The girls are having pork chops too. We all love Nic and are proud of his attitude and willingness to tough it out without complaining. Way to go, Nic!! We are cheering with you for better oral health!

We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. ~ Romans 3:22

Sibling Love

Don’t worry about anything, instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.~ Philippians 4:6
